On May 25, 2001, Erik Weihenmayer became the only blind man in history to reach the summit of the world's highest peak - Mount Everest. And on September 5, 2002, when he stood on top of Mount Kosciusko in Australia, Weihenmayer completed his 7-year quest to climb the Seven Summits - the highest mountains on each of the seven continents, joining only 200 mountaineers who have accomplished that feat. At age 33, he was also one of the youngest to accomplish this task. Additionally, Erik has scaled El Capitan, a 3300-foot overhanging rock wall in Yosemite; Losar, a 2600-foot vertical ice waterfall in the Mount Everest region of the Himalayas; and a difficult and rarely climbed rock face on 17,000-foot Mount Kenya. Through his experiences in overcoming obstacles in nature, Erik established No Barriers, a non-profit organization with a goal of promoting innovative ideas, approaches, and assistive technologies. As a result, Erik has made a real impact in helping people with disabilities push through their own personal barriers to live full and active lives.

SRC's technology experts will cover the suite of geographic business intelligence® technology tools and demonstrate how these tools are used to solve critical data accessibility problems. A new understanding of what is possible with business intelligence will be gained.
This event will also introduce you to the Solutions Center that is open and available to all conference attendees who have questions pertaining to their unique industry, company or business problem throughout the event. New to Extend 2010, the Alteryx User Group will bring together the community of geographic business intelligence® users to observe several technology demonstrations showcasing a variety of geographic business intelligence® technology products and solutions within real-world scenarios. These demonstrations will be presented by several of the nation's industry leading technologists who are streamlining and automating their best practices for the rapid dissemination of actionable insight across their organizations. Any level of user will benefit from this forum by seeing in action how geographic business intelligence® technology is the enabling platform for connecting the flow of people, ideas and best practices.
The User Group Forum is a great way to kickoff your learning opportunities at the conference by meeting and networking with the technologists that are driving winning business strategies within their organizations.
DemographicsNow User Group
New to Extend 2010, the DemographicsNow User Group will bring together the community of users who subscribe to one of the many online services of geographic business intelligence®. This user group meeting and product training session will be presented by SRC technology and business solutions experts along with some of the nation's industry leading technologists. Users will benefit by learning and networking from the experts on how to streamline their demographic analysis and reporting for the rapid dissemination of actionable insight across their organizations. The future of DemographicsNow and the 2010 enhancements to the enabling platform which powers this online service will also be demonstrated.
Any level of user will benefit from this forum by seeing in action how geographic business intelligence technology is the enabling platform for connecting the flow of information, analysis and best practices. This event is followed up by sessions throughout the conference will teach you how to expand and customize your use of geographic business intelligence to develop winning business strategies.
Developer Summit
This summit will be held in the Solutions Center and hosted by SRC's geographic business intelligence® technology experts, such as our Chief Technology Officer, Chief Web Developer, Software and Product Developers, Product Managers, ETL Engineers and Business Solutions Experts from the Customer Advantage Group.
This summit is designed to bring the developer community together for in-depth discussions about building, deploying and automating best practices with geographic business intelligence® technology. This summit will provide informal Q&A sessions throughout the event. Beyond this summit, all of the technology experts are available for one-one sessions in the Solutions Center throughout the conference to extend your learning opportunities and customized support.
Developers will return to their organizations after the conference with new and specialized ways to solve their unique business problems that will have an impact on their organization.
